International Workshop on Requirements for Visualizations in Systems Engineering (ReVISE'16)

On the 24th IEEE International Requirements Engineering Conference (RE'16), 12 – 16 September 2016, Beijing, China

The workshop Requirements for Visualizations in Systems Engineering provides a venue to discuss insights and challenges in eliciting and expressing requirements towards visualizations and visual notations used in the engineering of contemporary information intensive systems such as software applications or enterprise systems.

Specifying requirements towards visualizations yields a number of challenges, such as ensuring that they can appropriately fulfill users' information needs, that visualizations can efficiently be understood, and that communication among humans is successfully fostered. Visualizations and usage of visualizations in systems engineering needs more interest to identify particular requirements in this topic. The ReVISE workshop creates a discussion environment on requirements for visualizations, visual notations and usage of visualizations in systems engineering.
